YouTube Channel Apologizes Over Controversial Golf Ad

Good Good posted a statement saying the video did not reflect its values. We have taken the content down and sincerely apologize.

Callaway’s spokesperson told Golf.com the footage was disappointing. The company thanked Good Good for acting quickly and said it looks forward to a more inclusive golf community.

Good Good reaches more than two million subscribers on YouTube. The ad was created to promote a driver developed in a partnership with Callaway.

The 15‑second clip shows co‑founder Garrett Clark pushing member Alexis Miestowski to the ground. He then stands over her and warns, “Do not touch my new driver.”

Extended footage frames the incident as a horror‑movie parody about obsession with the driver. Fans note the ominous music and exaggerated dialogue, calling it a bad look.

Commenters called the ad a horror‑movie homage, with one writing that someone watched ‘Obsession’ and ruined Good Good. Another said the premise was bad and the acting worse. A third noted the horror vibe, labeling it simply a horror movie.

Skeptics argue the ad comments on driver obsession rather than on using force against women. Most agree it damages the brand’s image regardless of intent.
