Portland Tattoo Artist Sparks Controversy with ‘Kirkiversary’ Neck Tattoo Offer
Portland tattoo artist “blacksctratcher” advertised a “Kirkiversary Special” offering $50 neck tattoos on Sept. 10, the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The promotion, which references the site of Kirk’s fatal shooting, has ignited a firestorm on social media.
The promotion, posted on Instagram, promised the ink in “the exact placement of the kirkhole,” according to a screenshot that went viral. The image circulated widely across Twitter and TikTok, sparking immediate backlash.
Kirk, 31, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot in the neck and killed on Sept. 10, 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University during his American Comeback Tour. His death occurred exactly one year before the tattoo offer went live.
Libs of TikTok amplified the post, accusing the artist of celebrating the murder and drawing hundreds of thousands of views. The accusation ignited a wave of criticism from both supporters and opponents.
Comments on the Instagram thread labeled the artist “demonic” and questioned mental health, before the account set its profile to private. Users posted accusations of extremist behavior and called for accountability.
The artist posted a selfie with the caption “I am NEET nothing u do can hurt me repubtards” and a devil emoji. She then told critics to “Stop imposing on my freedom of speech NOW.”
Fox News Digital contacted the artist for comment; the artist asked if she would be compensated and declined to answer follow‑up questions, while Turning Point USA did not respond. No official statement has been issued by either party as of publication.
