Bank of America pledges $250,000 to veteran housing as the nation approaches the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Bank of America commits $250,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s “Veteran Villages” project.
The funding supports permanent homes and support services for homeless veterans in 14 markets, including Las Vegas, Detroit, Buffalo, Charlotte, Long Island and New Jersey.
Corporate employees will assemble 3,000 “Welcome Home” care kits for veterans entering the facilities.
“Bank of America’s support for our Veteran Villages will change the lives of veterans who have struggled after returning home, providing them with a safe place to live and the support they need,” Frank Siller, chairman and CEO of Tunnel to Towers Foundation, said.
Broader Corporate Support
Bank of America has contributed more than $160 million to military service members and emergency responders over the past 15 years.
Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan said, “September 11 is a deeply significant part of our shared history,” while reaffirming the bank’s longstanding commitment to first responders, veterans and their families.
Company staff have pledged 25,000 volunteer hours to military and first responder programs through the end of the year.
Infrastructure and 9/11 Memorial Funding
Bank of America announced a $250 billion initiative to modernize U.S. infrastructure, covering data centers, energy, semiconductors and transportation.
The bank serves as lead sponsor for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s new exhibition “In Their Honor: 25 Years of 9/11 Inspired Service,” adding $1 million to its lifetime museum support, which now exceeds $20 million.
An additional $100,000 refreshes funding for the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and $75,000 is split among the New York City Police Foundation, the FDNY Foundation and the Port Authority PBA Widows’ and Children’s Fund for the “Chairs of Remembrance” installation in Bryant Park.
Community and Legal Initiatives
Bank of America will match the federal government’s $1,000 contribution to eligible employee accounts.
Legal teams will draft free estate‑planning documents for emergency responders through the “Wills for Heroes” project in 12 regions.
Merrill financial advisors and staff will pack food for regional food pantries alongside 9/11 Day, while hundreds of employees run the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K in New York City.
