Ted Cruz electrified the Republican National Convention on Thursday night, delivering a blistering speech that framed the upcoming midterms as a fight for the Republic’s survival. He warned that the nation faces an existential threat.
Cruz Blasts “Red‑Green Alliance” at RNC
Speaking just 54 days before what he called “the most consequential midterms of our lifetime,” Cruz denounced a “red‑green alliance” of radicals, communists and Islamists he said had taken over the Democratic Party. He warned that this coalition shares the same enemies: Christians, Jews, capitalism, the Constitution and America itself.
Cruz tied the danger to his own roots, recalling his family’s escape from communist Cuba. He cited historic tyrannies — from Soviet gulags to Mao’s China, modern Cuba and Venezuela — to show that authoritarianism is a living nightmare, not a relic.
He declared, “Sharia law has no place in America,” drawing thunderous applause. He added that Sharia is fundamentally inconsistent with the Constitution and must be stopped now.
Cruz named prominent left‑wing figures, urging voters to take their words seriously. He cited Hasan Piker, who says America deserved 9/11; Mamdani, who wants to seize the means of production; Abdul Al‑Sayed, who claims an obligation to implement Sharia; and James Tallarico, who aims to dismantle capitalism. He warned that Democratic leaders have caved to the far‑left out of cowardice.
In a fiery close, Cruz invoked American exceptionalism and called on patriots in all 50 states to draw a line in the sand. He warned, “If we lose our freedom here, where do we go? Nowhere,” and urged everyone to stand arm‑in‑arm to save America.
