Republican Joe Strada Could Become the Wealthiest House Member If Elected

Republican Joe Strada, a Florida businessman, is poised to become the wealthiest individual ever elected to the U.S. House if he wins Florida’s 11th congressional district in three weeks.

Strada built an HVAC, electrical and plumbing firm that employs roughly 4,000 workers across 13 states, a fortune he says reflects the American Dream but does not define him.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, he warned that Washington’s rules and regulations hinder small‑business growth and urged voters to elect a “business‑minded” problem solver.

Strada’s company expanded after a labor shortage forced him to create an internal training program, a model he now promotes nationwide to counter rising student‑loan debt.

“You can earn a solid wage from day one without a $250,000 student debt,” he said, adding that his trade schools provide immediate employment and long‑term career stability.

He argues that millions of Americans on government assistance could fill the labor gap, calling for a “push” to enter the trades rather than rely on welfare.

Strada’s personal motivation stems from the 2018 death of his son, Joe Strada, who was killed by a stray bullet in Lake Mary, Florida, a tragedy that fuels his commitment to public service.

If elected, he pledges to champion the SAVE Act, which would treat trade schools with the same funding priority as Ivy League universities.

Strada will face Democrat James Pericola, a former Clinton administration official, in the general election.
