Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported Israel Christopher‑Ortiz, 19, to El Salvador on Tuesday after a federal immigration judge ordered his removal.
Conviction and Sentence
A Fairfax County jury convicted Ortiz in April of nine misdemeanor assault‑and‑battery counts after twelve high school girls testified that he groped them in crowded hallways at Fairfax High School.
He received a 360‑day jail term, with credit for time already served, and was placed on supervised probation.
An immigration judge signed the deportation order on Aug. 10, and the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office transferred Ortiz to ICE on Aug. 31, three days before his scheduled release.
Deportation and Background
ICE confirmed that Ortiz entered the United States illegally in 2024, was released into the community, and later enrolled at Fairfax High School.
DHS posted on X that “Israel Flores‑Ortiz, an illegal alien who groped multiple high school girls in Fairfax County, VA, was DEPORTED to El Salvador yesterday,” adding that the agency would “never stop fighting to REMOVE sickos like Flores‑Ortiz and make America SAFE again.”
One victim told ABC7 that the abuse made her constantly on guard.
“It’s impacting me because back then I didn’t have to look around,” she said. “I didn’t have to look around and make sure no one is going to touch me.”
