ICE deported ten illegal aliens with gang affiliations and serious criminal histories last week. The removals underscore the administration’s pledge to excise violent offenders from U.S. streets.
Deportations Target Gang Members
Barahona‑Rivera, Mejía‑Vasquez, Balmory‑Ramírez and León‑Cerón all faced violent felonies and were identified as MS‑13 or related gang members, according to DHS. Their convictions range from murder and robbery to assault and firearm offenses, underscoring the threat they posed to community safety.
Chirinos, Rangel Machuca, Ramírez‑Diaz, Ruiz‑Cisneros, Solis‑Iriqui and Cruz‑Estefina were also removed, each tied to distinct gangs such as 116, Compton Varrio 70s, Sinaloa Cartel, Barrio Azteca, Crips and Latin King, with criminal histories that include murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, burglary and illegal weapons possession. DHS emphasized that these individuals had final orders of removal or prior deportations, yet they re‑entered the country illegally.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin declared, “Under President Trump’s leadership, we will never allow America to become a sanctuary for illegal aliens.” He added, “This Department is laser‑focused on arresting and removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from American communities.”
In August, ICE arrested nearly 51,000 individuals for illegal presence, surpassing July and June totals, according to the department. The surge reflects heightened enforcement efforts across the border.
