Trump Defends Endorsement Record
Trump, who claims a 100% win rate for Senate endorsements and 98% for House races in 2026, said Welker’s description of his results as “mixed” was false. He posted the figures on Truth Social, citing the recent victories of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei.
The president warned that inaccurate reporting could trigger FCC action. He added that Welker was not the only media figure he accused of bias.
Trump broadened the criticism, alleging that the “Radical Left News” routinely framed his 99% endorsement success as weak. He said the pattern undermines public trust.
He argued that his endorsements have produced the strongest political impact in history. He insisted that any admission of flaw would be the first he made.
Trump highlighted Senator Darline Graham of South Carolina as a case study. He noted she was a long‑shot candidate before his endorsement propelled her to victory.
He also pointed to an Oklahoma gubernatorial candidate who won after his support. He said the press ignored those wins.
The former president urged FCC Chair Brendan Carr and his commission to treat the alleged fake polls and commentary as a serious threat to the nation.
Comedian Bill Maher conceded on Friday’s Real Time broadcast that he had been wrong about the impact of Trump’s endorsements in 2026 primary races. He joked that the president himself had texted him the correction.
