White House advisor Stephen Miller warned Republicans that Democrats, socialists and Islamists are not rational actors seeking to improve the country. He called them greedy, bitter, tribalistic thugs who seek to take from others for personal gain.
On August 21, Miller appeared on The Will Cain Show on Fox News and said conservatives mistakenly assume they are engaged in a rational, good‑faith discussion about asset distribution. He argued that the premise ignores the reality of Democratic policies.
Miller quoted the saying “a rising tide lifts all boats” and said the assumption that all parties care equally about every boat is false. He said the conversation presumes a universal concern for all citizens’ prosperity.
He cited Somali refugees in Minnesota and Representative Ilhan Omar as examples of tribalistic thinking, noting they view prosperity as a transfer from the nation’s founders to their own group. Miller said this mindset rejects the idea of shared national interest.
According to Miller, the core of the Democratic Socialists of America, the Democratic Party and Marxist ideologies is this tribal redistribution. He said it unites jihadists, Islamists, open‑border advocates, radical leftists and others in a claim that Americans do not deserve security, economic stability or the jobs built by previous generations.
Miller contrasted the historic immigrant motive of earning place through merit with today’s influx of illegal aliens and Muslims who he says come to seize resources and reshape culture. He warned that many seek the benefits of capitalism while despising its foundations.
He pointed to a demographic shift that fuels ideological change, noting that half of New York public school students cannot speak English well because 40% are migrants or children of migrants. Miller argued this redistribution of education resources from taxpayers to newcomers reflects Marxist hatred of the West.
