San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested Monday on a prostitution solicitation charge after police intercepted a $140 offer in a trailer park.

York faced one count of “engaging in prostitution” and a separate count of “possessing criminal tools,” according to court filings.
The prostitution charge was later reduced to “disorderly conduct,” and he received a one‑day jail sentence plus a $1,285 fine.
York, a longtime Democratic donor, contributed $2,500 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in June 2023, a sum the committee has not yet addressed.
“We all know the DCCC is broke, but they’re clinging to $2,500 through a prostitution scandal,” said Mike Marinella, a National Republican Congressional Committee spokesperson, in a statement to Fox News Digital.
York’s political giving spans more than a decade, totaling over $40,000 to Democratic candidates, including $5,000 to the America 2.0 PAC and $19,400 to former Rep. Tim Ryan, according to donation records.
He also backed Kamala Harris’ 2015 Senate campaign, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid, and Rep. Ro Khanna’s 2024 reelection effort.
In 2016, York made the 49ers’ official position known: the team opposed North Carolina’s House Bill 2, which restricted LGBTQ+ bathroom access, and he contributed $75,000 to repeal efforts.
During a 2017 interview, York denied being a far‑left figure, saying he “is not the most left‑wing person in the world” and emphasizing empathy for diverse viewpoints.
York did not respond to inquiries about his donations or the possible return of the DCCC contribution, and Khanna has not replied to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
