Raquel Lee Bolleau has sued The Walt Disney Company, alleging repeated sexual abuse by an adult male employee when she was 14 during filming of the 2001 movie “The Poof Point.”
Allegations of Abuse
The complaint says Disney personnel directed Bolleau to spend time with the employee, who supplied her with alcohol and repeatedly assaulted her, telling her she was old enough to handle it.
Bolleau says she returned to set smelling of alcohol, vomiting and visibly changed, but Disney ignored the warning signs, failed to investigate the underage drinking, and labeled her “out of control” while threatening to cancel her role.
Legal Claims and Broader Implications
An on‑set executive allegedly told Bolleau she “needed Jesus” and warned her mother that her daughter “has a demon inside her,” according to the complaint.
The complaint further alleges Disney repeatedly separated Bolleau from her guardian despite California rules requiring a guardian to remain in sight or sound of a performer under 16, and staff once told the guardian they did not need him on set.
She claims the employee also sexually harassed her in front of cast and crew, giving unsolicited hugs, rubbing his genitals against her and whispering “last night was so good” while microphones remained active, and sound technicians heard the comments but took no action.
‘Instead of protecting and supporting its minor employee who was repeatedly raped, sexually assaulted, abused and harassed, Disney covered up Mr. Doe’s abuse and blamed Ms. Bolleau for the impact,’ her lawyers wrote, adding that Disney’s conduct reflects a broader institutional pattern of failures.
The lawsuit alleges Disney booked Bolleau in first class while seating her guardian in economy on the return flight, and that the employee told her to sit next to him, bring a blanket, and then assaulted her during the flight until they deplaned at Los Angeles International Airport.
Bolleau sues Disney for negligence, negligent hiring, supervision and premises liability, seeking compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees, costs and interest.
Her attorneys, Doug Wigdor and Jane Kim, say the conduct is inexcusable and those involved must be held accountable.
Disney has not responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
